USAG Italy Leaders Honor WWII Alliance at Pietrasanta Liberation Ceremony
U.S. Army Garrison Italy Deputy Garrison Manager Timothy Andersen joined Pietrasanta Mayor Alberto Stefano Giovannetti for the commemoration ceremony. They were accompanied by Maj. Tulsi Rogers, command judge advocate, as well as Capt. Liam Thomas and Senior Airman Emile Wennergren, both representing the 731st Munitions Squadron.
The annual gathering serves as a tribute to the sacrifices made by Allied forces and local partisans who fought together to liberate the region. Leaders laid wreaths at the town's memorial site, emphasizing the strong bonds of friendship and shared history that continue to connect the local community and U.S. service members stationed in Italy today.
